Contrary to popular believe, Tibetan Buddhism is not an “inside” job.
Sure, dedicated study and contemplation, sitting in meditation, visualization practices and other core Dharma methodologies usually take place indoors and are geared toward inner experiences, i.e., quieting down, focusing within, learning how the mind works, identifying beneficial thoughts and intentions, etc.
Yes, there is lots of “inside” there.
But consider:
Many of our most profound discoveries are made by those who, in addition to their “inside” work, genuinely participate in the doings of rest of the planet.
This occurs by listening to, watching, feeling for and connecting with the trees, birds, insects, fish, animals, worms, algae . . . to the oceans and rivers, forests and mountains, deserts and cities, soil and sky.
Nothing is excluded from a contributing role in the consciousness that dwells on this planet, in all that lives, all that is . . . infinitely exceeding the bounds of our own species’ fragmentary notions of awareness.

Awaken. Empathize. Imagine. Embrace.
Be adventurous . . . be free.
Be responsible.
Allow yourself to be a sharing aspect of all that exists beyond the self-created walls of your familiar experiences.
Do so with confidence and joy.

This too is Tibetan Buddhism.
~If this resonates with you, neither grief or a broken heart, or fear, precludes you from participating.
