The Supermarket

There are those who, upon first exposures to Tibetan Buddhism, get the sense that it’s “not for me” . . . a mismatch of sorts . . . too exotic, too complex, etc.

But unfamiliar doesn’t necessarily mean ineffective.

The Dharma contains insightful perspectives and skillful practices that work with/for various sorts of personalities and needs.

It suits people who are devotional or intellectual, meditation-focused, curious or scholarly . . . complex or simple.

Our lineage teachers advise that we find the entrance-point that suits us and stay with where that leads.

There are extraordinary depths of psychological understanding(s) within Tibetan Buddhism; just as in a supermarket, we buy what we need when we need it, and leave the rest on the shelves for others, or perhaps for ourselves in the days to come.
